the man behind the flowers

Here’s a new entry so this blog won’t be that empty. This is a poem that I wrote at 1 p.m after listening to a song. This poem is heavily based on the song called The Truth Untold by BTS and the storyline that they adapted to the song, which is about Smeraldo Flower. The story and the song are both 10/10 would recommend, so don’t hesitate to check it out.


The Man Behind The Flowers

Once there was a man

In such a grotesque land

He held flowers on his hand

And he seems unsure of where he stands

Once there was a girl

She was seeking some forgiving

Others wanted diamonds, some needed pearls

She just wanted to make a living

Soon, realized this man

There was a woman wandered into his garden

He didn’t know her plan

But he knew he had to find out her burden

Teardrops fell when he found out

He knew he could do something

“If only she wouldn’t freak out

If only I looked fascinating”

Months and months, she didn’t come back

The man cried looking at his withered lilac

He fell behind the bar of his door

And said, “I wish I loved myself more”
